Jaston Williams performed the debut of his new one-man show at the Lubbock Civic Center tonight. "Blame it on Valentine, Texas" was a rousing triumph and received a standing ovation upon its conclusion. The show was a hilarious and often deeply moving recollection of his life growing up in West Texas through his present day parenting of his adopted China born son Song. The large crowd was treated to an unforgetable evening by a storyteller at the pinnacle of his craft. This performance, along with the workshops he taught while visiting Lubbock, was a gift from Mr. Williams as a fundraiser to support the Lubbock Community Theatre. Being associated with LCT, all I can say is, "Thank you Jaston. Thank you for sharing your genius with us and for your generosity towards LCT with the work you gave us this week. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. We hope to see you in Lubbock again real soon.".
